MILSET Asia was the first continental regional office established following the creation of MILSET in 1987, driven by the organisation’s continuous growth and the need to strengthen collaboration across its expanding network of member countries. Serving as a hub for partnerships, regional initiatives, and engagement with educational and scientific institutions, MILSET Asia reflects the dynamism of the world’s largest and most populous continent—a centre of diversity, innovation, and scientific advancement. With its rich cultural heritage and leading high‑tech nations, Asia plays a pivotal role in shaping the global scientific community.

Kuwait was chosen as the headquarters of MILSET Asia, underscoring its commitment to advancing science and fostering international cooperation. Since then, the region has hosted major events—including MILSET Expo‑Sciences International 1995 and the inaugural MILSET Expo‑Sciences Asia in 2010—and continues to demonstrate strong leadership and active participation at both regional and global levels.
